Museum-Grade Handling, In a Private Home
Fine art installation is the specialty practice of handling, mounting, and finishing high-value art and fixtures — paintings, mirrors, statuary, tapestries, and chandeliers — using engineered mounts, padded rigging, and gloved senior crews. Curtis Specialized Moving & Storage provides museum-grade art, mirror, and chandelier installation throughout Dallas at rates published on our pricing page.
A beveled mirror, a hand-cut chandelier, a canvas worth more than the room it hangs in — these are jobs for senior installers, not the newest crew. Curtis installation teams have hung art for the Art Ball at the Dallas Museum of Art, supported The Crystal Charity Ball, and finished some of the most demanding rooms in Highland Park and Preston Hollow. Every piece is condition-checked, mounted on hardware engineered to the wall and the weight, leveled, and cleaned before we call it done.
Moving Fine Art — Across Town or Across the Country
Moving a collection is different from hanging one piece. Before anything leaves the wall, Curtis condition-checks and photographs every work, then chooses the protection each piece needs: glassine and soft-wrap for framed works, corner protection and padding for canvases, and custom wooden crates engineered to the piece for sculpture, mirrors, chandeliers, and high-value paintings.
Art travels padded and strapped in climate-appropriate equipment, handled only by senior installers. If the new home isn’t ready, the collection goes into our fine-art climate-controlled storage, catalogued and barcoded until delivery day. At the destination, the same crew uncrates, places, hangs, levels, and cleans each piece — and you receive documentation for your records and your insurer.
Curtis moves art for private collectors, designers, and institutions throughout Dallas–Fort Worth and builds crates for nationwide shipping. Moving a whole household along with the collection? See our white-glove moving service.

How It Works — The White-Glove Way
- Step 1 — Condition check and photo documentation of every piece.
- Step 2 — Mounts and rigging engineered to the piece, the wall, and the weight.
- Step 3 — Padded, gloved transport — crated when the piece demands it.
- Step 4 — Installation: hung level, at height, finished and cleaned.
- Step 5 — Walkthrough and documentation for your records.
“I have had the pleasure of working with Curtis over the years on several projects, which include the Art Ball at the Dallas Museum of Art and The Crystal Charity Ball. On each occasion the job required careful handling of fine art and objects and a time sensitive schedule.”
